Why does it take 4-6 weeks to deliver my photos?
Due to the fact that this is a side/weekend business for me (that I love), I do have to put my family and my day job first. However, I also put my heart and soul into every session I take on. 4-6 weeks allows me to really take the time to sort through, meticulously edit, and deliver the absolute best photos from your session.
Can I see all the photos you took for us?
No. I’m sorry, but hiring me assumes an element of trust. I promise to deliver photos that you will love. Please trust me to be the artist in this process.
What kind of camera do you use?
I shoot Nikon. I currently shoot with a Nikon D7000 with various Nikor lenses.
Do you use Photoshop?
Yes. However, I do not believe in altering people to look completely different from how they look in real life (i.e. take 20 pounds off, remove wrinkles, etc.) I use photoshop to remove distracting objects in the background, remove minor blemishes, and to enhance the natural beauty of my subjects that is already there.
How long have you been a photographer?
I starting learning photography in July 2009 with just a point & shoot camera. I’m on my third camera since then, and I’ve enjoyed watching my work improve each year. I’ve also taken an online photography course from Brooke Snow at brookesnow.com. (Go check out her online courses, she is amazing!)
Do you do day-of wedding photography?
I am no longer doing day-of wedding photography. My current place in life does not allow me to take on weddings anymore. Although, I will happily do your engagements and/or day(s) before bride & groom photos (which is a really nice stress-free option). I am also available to 2nd shoot with another photographer for a wedding.
Do you charge for travel outside of Portland? To the coast, etc.?
Yes. I charge a $40 fee for my time and gas costs outside of the Portland Metro area.
